Where Faith and Family Are One

Our parish has a rich heritage of being a strong faith community. Through togetherness, we can share in our love of God and love of others. St. Joseph Parish in Ambler is truly a welcoming place and we invite all of you to feel at home as you explore our website and learn more about what makes us a truly great place for faith sharing and community togetherness and involvement. As our pastor is quoted to say, "All are welcome."

Congratulations to the second grade religious prep class for raising the most money this week in support of the Archbishop of Philadelphia's "Prep Kids Helping Kids."

The campaign is raising money for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's 58th Annual Christmas Party which invites hundreds of inner city and underpriviledged kids for a day of fun and activities. The fundraising by the prep classes lasts until December. Please consider sending money in with your child to support this great cause!

Blessing of the Animals

In what is a beloved annual tradition here at St. Joseph, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi was celebrated with the blessing of the animals. This year brought out the fluffiest and furriest of our parishioners as dogs, cats, birds and rabbits were all there to be given their certificate and blessing. The beautiful celebration of prayer and togetherness continues to grow each year behind the efforts of Fr. Tully, Fr. McElroy and their own furry friends.

Quinceañera Celebration

Our parish was immensely blessed as a member of our parish family celebrated her Quinceañera in October. In the Hispanic culture, the Quinceañera is a very important religious coming of age for young girls. Accompanied by her parents, godparents and an honor court usually comprised of close friends, siblings or cousins, the child is celebrated with a mass of thanksgiving. At the end of the celebration, the child presents her bouquet of flowers to the Virgin Mary.

Felicitaciones Daisy!

Fun at the Ambler Octoberfest!

Fr Tully Octoberfest

Our disciples were hard at work in early October as they helped work the St. Joseph table at the annual Octoberfest in town. Many parishioners came together to create the display, man the table and give away religious items. Our table was visited by both old and new parishioners alike.

Even our pastor, Fr. Tully and priest in residence, Fr. McElroy, stopped by to enjoy the fun.

Knights of Columbus Serve up

Walter KOC Pancake Breakfast

Breakfast at Applebees

With their motto, "in service to one, in service to all," the Knights of Columbus Council #3633, welcomed everyone for some pancakes and sausage at the Applebees in Montgomeryville. The Knights have participated in this fundraiser for a few years now and as always, it was a great success.

Whether you wish to join the Catholic Church, have children anticipating making their sacraments or just want to learn and grow more in your faith and personal witness and relationship with God, there is a faith formation for everyone at our parish. Please take the time to learn about some of our great programs which include but are not limited to Religious Prep, RCIA and the ChristLife series. As always, all are welcome!

Prayer to Saint Joseph

Oh, Saint Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God. I place in you all my interests and desires. Oh, Saint Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.Oh, Saint Joseph, I never weary of contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me and ask him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. Saint Joseph, Patron of departing souls – Pray for me. Amen.
